Why will the Vikings win the Super Bowl this year? Why the heck wouldn't they? It does depend a lot on injuries but you could say that for any team. The Vikings defense is the deepest in the league. Their offensive line is also very deep.

Carolina will beat the Vikings because they have a better defense and Cam Newton is an offense by himself.
He runs around defenses like an adult would run around kindergartners!
Super Bowl LII will be Jacksonville 27 Minnesota 17
It would be a great thing for a small market team like the Minnesota Vikings to win the Super Bowl.
In fact it would be the greatest story in sports since the Cubs finally won the World Series.
Tom Brady will retire after he wins the Super Bowl this year. The Patriots are all motivated to win it for him as Tom is the greatest quarterback of all time! The Patriots OLine isn't anything special this year but Brady is the best in the game as an out of the pocket passer.
They have the best coaching staff and the defense always plays it's best games in the big games.

The Panthers have to get past the Saints first. The Saints seem to have their number- they beat them twice in the regular season. I predict the Saints beat them again for a 3 game sweep.
The Vikings have had only one bad game this year and that was against the Steelers in game 2 at Pittsburgh. Minnesota is the most consistent team in the NFL. There is no reason to suppose they will suddenly play badly. The worse case scenario is to play the NFC title game in Philadelphia. But it's likely to be very competitive even in that situation. One thing about a truly great defense, you are always in the game.
Nick Foles is an excellent QB. He once threw 7 touchdowns in a game. When he starts playing well, watch out!

The Super Bowl is special compared to other games. Although you do not have to have the best defense you better have an above average defense.
A recent example is Peyton Manning's career. His team, the Colts won Super Bowl 41 by beating the Bears 29-17. Remember Super Bowl 48 when the Seahawks sacked Manning in their first series of the game for a safety. I will never forget the shocked look on Manning's face after that play. The Broncos never recovered and lost 43-8 and it was not that close!
In Super Bowl 50 the Broncos came back and won 24-10 over the Panthers. As I recall the Panthers had the most exciting offense in the league. Meanwhile the Broncos linebackers were flying all over the field and Cam Newton had no idea what to do.
Perhaps the Vikings won't make it out of the playoffs. But if they make it to the super bowl they will be heavily favored to win!
When the Seahawks won Super Bowl 48 they had the best defense. I think it was also their first trip to the big game.
"My guess is that if the Vikings are able to defeat the Saints in the divisional round, there will be a growing feeling that this is the Vikings year, and they will have an easier time defeating the Falcons, and that momentum will be too much for even the Super Bowl savvy Patriots to overcome one month from today." Vikings Norseman's prediction of the playoffs after analyzing all possible matchups.
About 75% of respondents feel that the Vikings will win the Super Bowl this year.
I think it’s past your bedtime.
There is nothing super and the Super Bowl. I think it should be gotten rid off. It is completely boring and pointless. It's not like Bekele is in it. Nobody playing in the Super Bowl can compare to Bekele. He is probably laughing in side when he here's people talking about it. Him getting the marathon world record this year will be more exciting then all the Super Bowls, ever in history put together.
Linval Joseph was one of the first players Mike Zimmer got for his defense in Minnesota.
Joseph was a state champion in weightlifting and in the shot put in high school.
He is 6-4 and 330 yet can run he 40 in 5.0. (Hopefully for your team they do not put him in the
backfield to block or run!) Joseph was a big part of the NY Giants Super Bowl Champs in 2011.
Eric Kendricks, the Vikings superb MLB won the Butkus Award in college.
Kendricks was one of the fastest LBs coming out of the draft and can cover most receivers.
He has had a touchdown return on an interception each of the last two years!
This guy is an athlete...in high school he played football, basketball, and baseball.
Good Night Irene! Do you realize that the Vikings defense had a 3rd Down percentage of 25%. That is the lowest in the NFL since 1991! Zimmer has them playing as a unit and not focusing on individual stats. He has them playing in their lanes.
No team wants to play the Vikings defense. Perhaps even the NFL does not want them in the Super Bowl because it might be low scoring!
As a fan I get sick of seeing other teams jerseys whenever the NFL advertises their games. How often do you see a Viking player? That might change after this year.
The Vikings have great coaching! They have three former head coaches on their staff as well.
Tony Sporano coaches the offensive line which is the most improved area of the team. Pat Shumur is the offensive coordinator and has brought variety to the offense. Mike Zimmer is the head coach and he makes sure they play as a team.
This is the Eagles year. Remember that the Eagles have a great defense and great running backs.
That is a combination for winning!
It's mathematical: In addition to a defense that led the NFL in nearly every category, the offense finished ranked #10 in total yardage.
It's emotional: The Vikings have never won a Super Bowl!
It inevitable: I do not see anyone on here making a good cause for their team winning.
It'll be at home: February 4, 2018!!!
