Oh you sweet summer child. There is no chance we will win or even make the super bowl this year - zero. This is Minnesota sports we’re talking about, and a championship in Minneapolis. It’d be *way* too good to be true.
Written November 26, 2017 by Vikings Fan 2017 for those who doubt Case Keenum!!!
"I like Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford however Case Keenum is on a roll.
He is also the all-time leader in NCAA Div 1 passing yards and I think TDs too.
He has had 3 straight 5000 yard years. What that means is he has done this before and is getting
even more practice.
There were doubters about Tom Brady, Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, Warren Moon, and even Joe Montana. The beat goes on and Case Keenum can play this game at NFL championship level!!!
However a top CB, LB, DL, OL, WR, RB, could also cause problems for any team in the league including the Vikings. That is the determining factor. It maybe also that it's who has the most depth which the Vikings have shown they have to this point.
Mike Zimmer is a great coach. Bill Belichick also swears like crazy and apparently Vince Lombardi did too even though he went to church every day.
But for the Vikings to win they will need to be a bit lucky."
P.S. I'm adding this to the previous post--- any NFL team, especially this year will have to
be lucky to win the Super Bowl.

They said the same about the Cubs, White Sox, Red Sox, NFL Denver Broncos, and even our 2 X MLB champion MN TWINS!!!
The Eagles will not be favored to win a single playoff game.
If that's holds, the Vikings will play every playoff game at home, including the Super Bowl.

This is our time!!!
Purple Rain
I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted to one time to see you laughing
I only wanted to see you
Laughing in the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you
Bathing in the purple rain
I never wanted to be your weekend lover
I only wanted to be some kind of friend
Baby, I could never steal you from another
It's such a shame our friendship had to end
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you
Underneath the purple rain
Honey, I know, I know
I know times are changing
It's time we all reach out
For something new, that means you too

Do not bet against Case Keenum in Minnesota!

I saw and suffered thru all four Super Bowl the Vikings lost. Do not call me "summer child."
“In my do-over here, and I think last week solidified it when I saw that Minnesota did against that number one team and number one offense (of the Los Angeles Rams), I’m going to say Minnesota rides this wave and rides it all the way. I’m taking the Vikings over the Patriots in the Super Bowl at home.”
Michael Irvin, 2 x Super Bowl winner for the Dallas Cowboys!
This is the biggest problem the Vikings face. Can you imagine having to do mental battles with
your own fans. Many of today's fans were not even around when the Vikings went to their 4th Super Bowl!!!
"When will Vikings fans feel at ease about a successful season?
Who knows?
For many, not until the confetti cannons blast at the end of the Super Bowl and the Vikings have a lead on the scoreboard. Longtime Vikings fans have suffered through a number of near misses, unfortunate circumstances and unlikely failures. The Vikings have been to the Super Bowl four times, but they have never won it.
In recent playoff games the team was twice eliminated after field goal attempts sailed wide left, and the bounty-pummeled Brett Favre tossed an interception in the closing seconds of an NFC championship game. For fans, tension levels will be off the charts if the Vikings are involved in a close playoff game."
There have been many teams who won the super bowl without the best defense.
However there has never been a team who won with out at least an above average defense.
The Vikings are strong in all three phases of football.
The only way they will lose is if they get too many injuries.
Yes,
The Vikings will win because they have the hottest QB in the league. Not only did he pass for 5000 yards 3 times in college, he is 29 years old.

We need to be optimists not pessimistic people who feel sorry for ourselves.
How rotten would it be if the Vikings lost because the fans are so negative!
Do not believe the media hype that usually supports the highly populated areas.

I literally live in NYC and maintain my hometown fandom - I’m not suffering from east coast bias. It’s just not gonna happen. Case is good but not Super Bowl good.
I don't know that they will win, but I'll give you a few reasons they could.
It all starts with defense. They've been battle tested against strong offense this year and have come up huge. The offense is inconsistent but solid enough to capitalize on the great field position the defense always gives them. Their RB tandem keeps the running game fresh, and their two styles are so different the defense has trouble adjusting. Just when you figure out how to fill holes and stop the downhill style of Murray, MsKinnon comes back and blows up your gap protection with his cutback style. It's not easy to see on tv but this is a real issue for defenses. Keenum isn't going to throw for 400 like Brady or Brees but that's not a negative. He doesn't need to. If Case is throwing the ball 50 times for big numbers you can be pretty sure MN is losing that game.
Whatever happens, they're going to make it really hard for whoever they play. Should be fun to watch!

Spoken well by you. I about throw up with the constant east coast bias on ESPN. They are almost as bad as British announcers at track & field meets.
On ESPN the Giants and Eagles in particular get twice the coverage of any other team even if they are 0-6 at the time! Meanwhile KC, MN, Denver, or a similar small-market team can be 6-0 and they might not even show ONE PLAY from that week about that 6-0 team!
Since Wentz went down all they talk about now is Foles, Foles, Foles.
Rather than ESPN they should call it "As the stomach turns."
Case Keenum is 29, has started in the NFL for other teams, and is the NCAA all-time leader in all of the important categories. The guy threw for over 5000 yards for three straight seasons!!!
The Vikings can and most likely will win the World Championship this year.
I agree with your remarks about the defense and the running backs. However Case Keenum is exactly the type of QB who can light up a defense for 400+ yards. He has been doing it his entire
life and do not forget that he is 29 not 23 as many suppose.
Remember also that our special teams is a very strong part of the team and we have won games starring those units as well.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
