So here’s the question: I just Started winter base late and every run I’ve had has turned into a progression run (on accident) so far. I’ll start super easy with like 8:15 pace and then work my way down to 6:50 almost every run.
We aren’t doing any workouts yet, and I’m feeling good still, but today I couldn’t run as fast, and I’m thinking, what if I do a progression run everyday and the days I can’t, I don’t and take it easy.
Also, this was crazy, but I started taking my heart bpm every morning when I wake up and it’s always exactly 60, but today it was 71 and I also couldn’t run as hard today and took it really easy (8:20 average) and feel perfectly fine.
Does this look okay? I’m at 20 Miles this week so far for my first week back and will probably finish out at 30 ish. I feel amazing, but I’m worried it’s not the right thing to do. (Average mpw was 35 for XC around 7:30 pace)
