    We have a great line-up for our January 2018 clinic.

    Joan Hunter - Loudoun Valley (VA) Girls and Boys Coach

    Dan Iverson - Naperville North (IL) - Girls coach

    Jonathan Dalby - Mountain Vista (CO) - Girls and Boys coach

    Doug Soles - Great Oak (CA) - Girls and Boys coach

    John O'Malley - Sandburg (IL) - Boys coach

    From this past weekend NXN meet the #1 boys, #2 girls and #3 boys teams will be represented.

    Tickets are $147 or $250 for two coaches (additional coaches are $125 each).

    Finally, there are four other coaches coming to attend the clinic who had teams at NXN this past week or have won NXN, and were some of the first to register when we announced the clinic. Good coaches are hungry for knowledge and want to know what the best coaches in the country are doing. The "clinic after the clinic" on Saturday night is going to be special.

    Wish there was a way to purchase notes/handouts/videos from this type of stuff for those of us who don’t mind paying the price but can’t make it out to Boulder!

    Many of these clinics will sell video footage after the fact. I believe I saw some of the 2015 clinic presentations are now for sale.

    Three updates.

    Joan Hunter's presentation titles are up. Both look great - as a parent I'm curious to hear her and Drew talk about the mother/coach -son/athlete relationship/colaboration.

    Congratulations to John O'Malley - first person to coach two Footlocker Champions. I don't think we will have him talk about cross country training as he's had teams run 7:46 or faster in four consecutive years. While he will be talking about 800m training I know he'll talk about a training system "where everything is present at all times" (quote from High School Running Coach interview), including in the summer and fall.

    Finally, Jonathan Dalby's presentation is "Coaching Freshman Distance Runners" - a topic he picked and one that will be informative for both veteran coaches and newer coaches. It's worth noting that the combined finish of his Mountain Vista teams at NXN - 3rd for boys and 6th for girls - puts his program between FM and Great Oak for best combined finishes.

    Some great coaches coming to attend the clinic, so the learning is not limited to the formal presentations - the "clinic after the clinic" will be fantastic.
