Any word on Creighton? Have they started any sort of process?
That would be surprising...schools like that really like saving the 16k - 18k they get to save by not having a coach for 7-8 months since they are in their off season that entire time.
Diane moved to the administrative side several years ago. She will do fine there.

Aren’t they already short a coach on staff with the absence of mark rinker?
Rinker dydnt coach anyone.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that LSU hired somebody that didn't coach any athletes. Great starter job, that LSU.
They did.

Looks like their top athlete figured out what she was getting In a new coach and got the hell outta dodge. That cooper kid isn’t doing so hot either, 2:27 for 1k and 4:23 for mile from a 1:47 HS kid... ouch!
As I understand it, LSU brought Mark in to change things for the better. I'm sure he has a vision that includes making the program competitive in some way--$ or little $ or whatever.
Give the young man a break! Geez. And regarding, Northeastern, they brought in the men's assistant at Dartmouth.
Will Northeastern just go with one of its current coaches for the interim and then launch their search in the spring?
Betting Northeastern will keep their interim as the long term solution.

Damn dude barely stayed a semester... they got the raw deal!

Lsu brought him in so Shaver could have a distance coach he could control.
Sure that's part of the deal (at a lot of places). I know both Shaver and Rinker. As Mark is a little less wet behind the ears, he'll get more freedom. Shaver is no dummy.
Some of you guys really have hang-ups with who gets jobs. Let the school figure out their best fit, then SUPPORT them in their efforts. Or don't say anything at all. It would be nice if 2018 was devoid of criticism and negativity when it comes to coaches starting a new chapter in their lives.
UCF Athletic Director Danny White on top of it again. Today, posted on the UCF Track & Field 'roster & coaches' page, the following track & field staff hires were posted.
Roger Kingdom: new Director of Track & Field & Distances..two time Olympic short hurdles champion (hurdles/sprint coach!!?)
Scott March: new Assistant Coach, Distance
Novlene Mills: new Assistant Director of Program Development..four time Olympian, 1 silver, 3 bronze (sprint/relays !!?)
Erin Gilbreath: current Assistant Coach of UCF's strong Throws Group..
Go Knights !
It appears mostvoffbthe new UCF staff has ZERO actual coaching experience.
Distance dude went from volunteer to overseeing distance and a major conference!
Sprinters, hurdlers and throws should be happy with the appointments, the distance coach is hugely underwhelming
Volunteer at Boise for a couple of years, Very surprised at this appointment. Supposedly UCF were waiting until May/June when a larger pool of applicants would be available to select from.
Wonder if this is a short term appointment to see them through this season
...good points taken, this is clearly an aggressive commitment for a (more than ever) results oriented department, a great opportunity to either fly, or otherwise. Also, actually lot's of incredible experience, almost across the board, with the challenge of being able to share it wisely with a talented, but green 'newish' young team. Distant guy Scott is the unknown, so I say, go for it, to this entire new staff.....True, summer brings a larger talent pool, but it's also clear, 'this season counts too'...gotta like that.
Honestly UCF can hire anybody they want. If they don't win they'll just hang up a championship banner anyway
