Hubba-hubba!
No, wait. Is that classified as sexual harassment these days?
ScarJo looks better in long hair? Well sure, except there's one problem. All that hair in the picture isn't growing from her head. She has a ton of fake hair extensions clipped or woven in.

When you realize something is better you will take shortcuts.

Can I have a show of hands from the guys who give a flying *&*# about that?
Yeah, me neither.

And her lips are fake and ugly.
A female co-worker of mine calls it mating hair. Think about it.
American women want to wear the pants and don't know how to be women any longer. Too busy emasculating the men from an early age. They definitely don't know how to let their hair down anymore and just be women.

That's why sex dolls are emerging trend worldwide. You can dress them the way you want to and they never complain! ?
As a middle-aged guy, I don't get this either. It rarely, rarely (rarely!) looks flattering. My sister in-law is a case in point. Hasn't gained weight, but she now wears super short hair that just isn't attractive at any age. A single colleague of mine in her late 40s went from average looking to as plain as can be when she cut her hair short a few months ago (my wife saw her and agreed). I couldn't say anything, of course, but it was such a comically bad decision. Well, I did say "Oh, you got your hair cut!" and she said, "yeah, for the summer heat!" and I could only think that she was going to have any incredibly lonely summer...

I've noticed that a lot of women past a certain age, particularly 50+, opt to have their hair cut very short. Some even have it cut as short as a boys or shorter.
Anyone know why these women choose to do this given the fact that very, very few women can actually make short hair attractive?
Usually hair doesn't look healthy and becomes thin with the age, that's why women prefer making short haircuts. But I can't agree that such a hairstyle doesn't look good. My mother has an angle cut and I really like it! Heat only affects already existing hair. New hair is generally healthy. Chemicals are a different story yes.
In my opinion they generally don't have the need to attract a partner anymore (they already have one) so it's not worth the hassle to manage long hair.
Maybe the better question is, Why don't younger woman get their hair cut more often?

Because too much of a good thing is never a bad thing.
This discussion has just proven without a shadow of a doubt how clueless the average LRC poster is about the female gender and demonstrates why many of you will be single and lonely your entire lives.
Even those stars with short hair look crappy. Short hair is so ugly on women. I've only ever seen one woman who looked good with short hair, that brunette lady who guested on "The Mentalist" tv show.

The OP should have titled this why do women care less and less about garnering male attention as they age. The real answer is that they quickly learn male attention is at best intrusive and annoying and at its worst threatening. If a woman wants to attract a man she can do so short hair or not because most men are undiscerning slobs
Are you saying these women would look better with long hair?
Absolutely 100% yes; Scarjo for sure would (and has).
I've never seen a short haircut that turned me on, ever, no matter who was wearing it.

I'm 58 and if I looked it and couldn't do any better that slideshow would make me want to kill myself. Thankfully I make good money, have the body of a very in shape 25 year old, and love to date around 40ish or so (it's a great age, trust me).
