Planning my energy intake for my upcoming race, and this may be a dumb question. Im using Maurten for nutrition, where one 500ml bottle is 320kcal. If I plan to finish around 2:50, should I plan on drinking 3 bottles, one for each hour, or drink 2 bottles from about 30 min in until 2:30? Thinking that any energy I get in after 2:30 won't help, but not sure if I should aim for 2.5 bottles, 1 for each of the 2 full hours, and a half bottle between 2-2:30.
Also this should almost cover my water intake as well right apart from a few sips? It's a cool race around 50 deg so no heat issues.
