This is also inaccurate. 2008 Olympics bronze, 2009 worlds bronze, 2013 worlds 4th. He wasn’t selected for 2012 Olympics, so maybe there is a kernel of truth to you statements.
His marathons weren’t that slow either. I see a bunch of 2:05, 2:06, PR of 2:04.38, and nothing in a major or World Champs slower than 2:10.
