Is there anything wrong with this, other than the threat of diabetes? I am almost 50, and most of my life I have drank copious amounts of juice (and occasionally chocolate milk or chocolate soy milk). I probably eat about 800 -1200 calories a day in actual food. The rest is basically juice. I go through almost 2 of those large containers a day. Interestingly, I hate water. It's a small crisis if I run out of juice, because I feel like I have nothing to drink. I generally eat one large meal a day, usually in the early evening. I don't do this consciously, it just developed over time.
I'm not overweight, and never have been (currently 5'10", 138 lbs). I don't get sick often, and spent from 2001 - 2015 averaging about 60 - 65 mpw for running. I'm a reasonably decent runner for my age (can still run 17:0x). My doctor says I am very healthy.
Is this a genetic thing? Am I going to develop diabetes or some other related illness because of this? Should I worry about it?
