yet no one is talking about them. Ran a race in heat and humidity that no other team in the country could have competed with them

i read MS as middle school and flipped out for a sec
there's an Ocean Springs, Missouri? Missouri's not near the ocean though it gets pretty wet when your mom squirts
Starting to look like the old Yorkglorydays down there. Anyone know what their training is? Most of their squad is young and their middle school team is ridiculously loaded
Lot of families moving there from affluent cities - probably helps. Why are they moving to Ocean Springs?
MS = Mississippi, bro.
lol neither state matters tho
The real question is how many teams would get their whole top 7 in before Ocean Springs first finisher.
You guys are running great, don't ruin it by getting on here and making ridiculous boasts.
I thought they were wiped out by a hurricane or was that fake news?
Bet this "team" is all white, in a state that's 92% black.
That's RACIST! shut it down, boycott races, disrupt them.

They will get more attention if they keep up the progress. They are young and the program just started taking off.
Ocean Springs has a long history of being just about this good. They've just been much worse recently.
Look, the best teams in the country have multiple runners under 16 minutes. The tupelo teams from 5 years ago had top 5 averages faster than Ocean Springs top runner and those teams were ranked about 10 in the south.
I'm impressed by what OS has accomplished so far, but get your head out of your ass. People aren't talking about them on here because they aren't even one of the top 100 programs in the country. You need some perspective on how bad the competition is in Mississippi.
All of this should be easily verifiable on Milesplit.

Times? This is about racing, not time trials
FWIW, Ocean Springs is about 1040 miles from where I live. That is all.
You are kidding, right?
17:01 avg on what I would assume is a flat course.

Who have you raced? A bunch of weak Mississippi teams. I hope you guys go to your Nike regional. It would be a nice wake up call and might teach you some humility.
You're making us Mississippians look bad buddy.
Guys, cut the OP some slack.
"In the country" means "rural" or "outside of the city". It is where most Mississippians live: in the country. He was simply saying that OSHS has one of the best programs "out in the country" or "past the Walmart".
No harm meant, I am sure.

Saratoga Springs would sweep them in both races and its out in the country.
Bumping this to shame the OP. Ocean Springs couldn’t even win the MS state meet.
Nice job hyping yourselves though.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
