I hate guns and white people.
I hate guns and white people.
300 Million Guns and counting with less than 10k people killed via homocide by gun annually. If you aren’t a resident of places such as Chicago or Detroit and aren’t involved in the drug or gangland activity you probably have a more of a chance of getting struck by lightning than being shot. I will take my chances and keep my Freedom thank you very much.
Statistically speaking we are doing great. An American is more likely to be killed in an auto accident than by the gun. I don’t see any libbbtwats wanting to ban cars.
Either way, our guns aren’t going anywhere. Americans will always be armed and there is not a single thing you libbbtwats can do to stop that. 😎🇺🇸
You libbbtwats can leave my country any time. Don’t let Freedom hit you in your AIDS Receptacle on your way out😆â—ï¸

So it takes one of the worst gun massacres in American history happening right in front of your face to change your mind rather than the reams and reams of endless information and statistics that clearly describes the overall destructive effects of our gun culture?
From a logical perspective, that doesn't make any sense. From a human behavior perspective, that makes complete sense.
This event demonstrated exactly how empty the narrative of the gun culture is. Past events prompted the 'if people were armed and trained, this would never have happened' responses. This time, the only thing people could do is desperately try to hide as they were mowed down in a corral, the narrative doesn't work here. That's what Caleb Keeter came to realize first hand. This is the monster that's been created.

It shouldn't take having to witness something horrific firsthand to change your mind. That's the mentality of a toddler having to stick a fork in a socket just to see what happens. Adults should think with a little more depth, breadth, analysis, and logic. Unfortunately, that's not how people work.

The 2nd Amendment makes sense in the 18th century, when a guy with a musket had protection from a corrupt official.
In today's society, a literal interpretation is crazy.
Ever hear of Palestine? You sure you want to give up your guns in America knowing that it's the American government which has exiled 20 million Palestinians into concentration camps, gulags, and prisons.

What are guns going to do against a hydrogen bomb? If the US government really goes tyrannical, they have weapons that make guns useless.

I imagine in a scenario that the tyrannical government decided to use military force against the people (to a greater degree than isolated incidents like Standing Rock), they would just sit in their armored vehicles and tanks while bullets plinked off the armor, call in precision airstrikes, take out targets on the ground with a plethora of powerful portable explosive devices and precision weapons, take out guerilla targets with the highly trained special forces, and generally overwhelm our civilian firearms with vastly superior weaponary, technology, and training. I don't know how our personal firearms, owned mostly by old white guys, would have a chance at defeating the most powerful military machine the world has ever seen.

What the hell does Chicago or any other city have to do with this terrible horrific evil that took place in Las Vegas?
At this point (well it's always been this way, but more so than ever now), it's quite simple:
In a free society, no one should have the ability to decide that they want you dead, want to blow your brains out, and be able fulfill such a desire by simply pointing their finger at you and snapping their finger. No one should be able to go into a crowd and kill dozens and dozens and dozens, and badly injure hundreds and hundreds with the ease of pulling a trigger multiple times, an act basically done with one finger. Allowing Americans to be armed gives them those "rights", gives them the means to EASILY carry out such evil intentions/horrific actions. It absolutely shouldn't be this way.
Guns are weapons of mass destruction, plain and simple. We don't let people own other weapons that can wipe out people's lives with such ease, and that serve no other purpose but to do so. We simply don't. And almost no one argues that one should be able to own other weapons of mass destruction. Guns are no different.
IF YOU SUPPORT GUN RIGHTS, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GUN DEATHS. The rest of us should not have to live in fear, or suffer the DAILY horrific gun tragedies that occur because of your childish, cowardly, gun fetish.
Only in the good ol' USA is it considered "extreme" to talk of a complete gun ban. The only extreme thing about that proposal, is that is it considered extreme.
The only reason one "needs" a gun for protection, is to protect oneself against all the other Americans with guns! So the the right wing solution is......MORE GUNS! Complete f-cking insanity.
Republicans care about 2 things: making it easier for more and more americans to be heavily armed, and tax cuts for the rich. That's IT in a nutshell. What a platform!
I know that nothing will change. Republicans/guns nuts will forever have the blood of 1000's and 1000's and 1000's and 1000's on their hands, because they were so supportive of making guns easily available for all.
Over the last 50 years, there has been a SHOCKING, ~ 750,000 gun homicides. 3/4 of a million. Let that sink in. Over that same time period, there has been roughly 1.75 million gun deaths in our country. I guess that's not enough.

Chicago needs to fire the whole city police and county sherrifs.
What the F does Chicago or any other city have to do with the evil shooter who killed 59 people and injured over 500 in Las Vegas?
Great work Americans. Even a tragic event cannot bring together your politically separated country.
Your hatred for each other is deeper than I could’ve imagined.

Well................not all Muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim. So are you inferring that all mass shootings, firearm related murders etc are done by NRA members? And if so, what data do you have that would support even a shred of that as a premise?
Wrong....most terrorists who commit terrorism in the United States are exactly like this guy....white males. 85% of terrorist acts in the country in the last 20 years are committed by white christian males.
So the same people who show up in black masks to violently deprive us of our 1st amendment rights, are now telling us that we have no need for our 2nd amendment rights.
You people on the left lack the imagination necessary to see that YOU are the reason we still need the 2nd amendment. YOU are the reason it was put there in the first place.

Viva, imagine a scenario...? Here's one:
How about the greatest standing technologically-advanced army in the history of mankind being bogged down in it's longest war against a bunch of non-Americans with Ak-47 driving around in Toyota pickup trucks.
Answer: wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
A well-armed guerilla insurgency is all the balance that is necessary against a super power. Your suggestion of an overwhelming and annihilating force would create immediate sympathy and further resistance.
In other words you're letting us know that this event has completely overwhelmed your already poor ability to think logically and rationally.
I actually considered this scenario. And it would suck. What if we applied our full military might to an internal resistance? How would that play out? It would suck for everyone, except those that get pleasure out of killing others.
Also, we would be driving American pick up trucks, which has worse reliability than Toyotas, so I don't think the insurgency would last as long. The trucks would break down, fighters would be stranded, and the resistance would easy be rounded up.

What's an armed insurgency going to do against a nuclear bomb?

Leave it to that beeyatch Hillary to weigh in before the bodies are even cold.
She says now is not the time to politicise this event but we have to stand up to the NRA and get gun control.
By the way the body count in sweet home Chicago is up to 534,with 2,390 shot and wounded and 57 murders in September alone. Democratic Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and Clinton syncophant says nothing to see here people, just move along.
Strange that you claim that Emmanuel and Clinton are saying "nothing to see here people" The violence is Chicago and elsewhere in the black community is covered ad naseum in the media I watch. What is your source of information? Emmanuel has railed on this condition for years. And yes part of the equation is that we are awash in guns.
