Robert Brandt 28:48 10k, 13:46 5k, 7:58 3k, transfers after sophomore season from CAL to UCLA. Odd decision after such a great sophomore stint in Berkeley. Who knows why?

Im a highschool teammate of his and it sounded like he had a big falling out with the coaches after regionals......
You think he realized who would be his coach at UCLA?
...that he wasn't welcome back in Berkeley after a series of things...had no choice but to transfer even after he learned the UC Davis coach would take over...
why didn't he have to sit out a year?
not true at all. Where did you hear that? He's a great kid
I am close with Robert and have known him for many years. He is a great guy and had been frustrated with the Cal program for his two years there. Him and Sandoval had a mutual respect for each other although they didn't see eye to eye on many things, hence the full release.

...that the feeling was mutual...bad fit...from more than one source independently...hence the full release...what do you do when you want someone gone? You don't deny them a release...
Bummer to see Cal couldn't hold onto him. Great talent for the program, but Ive heard what goes on at Cal and it isnt good...I dont blame him.

Like what? What goes on at Cal? Like why would they not want that talent?

+1
Things any different with Houlihan coaching? All we ever hear is how horrible Cal and Washington are, which may be true, but reasons for this seem sparse.
He transferred to run with Coach Braden.

How’d that work out?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
