@1:52 pm Mountain time Mimi has not yet made her leap of faith to the RV or support car.

If you look at a Verizon cell coverage map of the area, you will see that she is in the middle of a no-coverage zone. The RaceDrone GPS device Mimi uses is cell phone based whereas Sandra uses a Garmin Inreach that sends data over satellite. So, false alarm I think.
https://m.imgur.com/a/A1ojTAll this gps spoofing has made me think that the Pete guy's run was faked too.
Do we have any verifiable records?
Pete encouraged people to run with him and we could meet up with him at any time thanks to the tracking. Many people did run with him and it was all well documented.
Mimi has made it almost through Colorado. To my knowledge, not a single reputable outsider has observed her. There is no record of anyone running with her at any point.
This reminds me of another one of Darren's signature moves. "Come out and join me in my run!" (well, actually bike). But no one ever could because we had no idea where he was. Neither Darren nor Mimi publish their route in advance, so without close to real time tracking they're just empty words.
2 weeks 4 days 4hrs 30 mins; 12:30 Central Time. Tracker Powered OFF. (Up to this point in time previously, it has been turned off “for much more than an hourâ€.)

Add the Pete was very happy to have people join him. Besides verification it helped with the mind melt of super long distance running.
My favorite randomly-joint-Pete story was from a guy in New Jersey who joined Pete before he crossed the bridge to NYC. Pete did not know what how he would get from the end of the bridge to the road he wanted to run. The guy who joined him knew every kid path (paths through tree clumps, alleyways, etc) on the other side of the bridge. He got Pete where he wanted to be and took him on a safe, mostly car-free route. Pete couldn't thank they guy enough. Pete was never going to be Lost in NYC with such an path expert at his side.
The support car is back online in Mimi's GPS tracker but now the RV is shown as turned off and Mimi's is still offline. This is all too weird.

This is getting to familiar. This is why it was heavily stressed by the interviewer in the Ultra interview. Indeed, Mimi has the RaceDrone folks as one of her sponsors. Why aren't they up in arms for the poor appearance this puts on their service?
BTW, I read about the R Young fraud, and a bit about the latest with the treadmill runner. Who is this 'Darren' you are referring to?

He's another lying scammer. He claimed he was an ultrarunner capable of multiple 50 mile days in a row when it was obvious he wasn't close to that level. He faked an injury early on and ended up riding in an RV for most of his Transcon.
This is a fun thread:

I don't think Race Drone actually sponsors Mimi since they are not listed on her website. It looks like she chooses to pay for their service and she has used them in past events so surely she is aware of the need for their dedicated GPS tracker that works on multiple cell phone networks.

My predication is that they were saving on battery power. They forgot to bring the proper electrical adapters to recharge the GPS units. Never mind that the car and RV are US rentals. Those American USB ports are not British compatible.
Hmm. Maybe but it says the battery was at 85% when they turned it off.

Yes, they are listed on her website! Look at all of her sponsors listed at the bottom of this page:
http://www.mimirunsusa.com/Are guys starting to realize that there actually could be a lot of moola riding on this thing? " 53 miles in 53 days in the World Record" is going to make Dean K's ventures look like child's play.
WAKE UP!
Measuring the driving distance from where Mimi stayed put to where the car leapt is almost exactly 40 km (24.9 miles). Mimi's afternoon runs have been nice and consistent (42.8, 41.8, 41.2, 38.7, 43.3). The car might be at the intended end of afternoon run. The problem is that the satellite image and street view show that there is nothing there. The car is in the shrubs on part of the road has shoulder that looks barely wide enough for a runner.

Hey, you are right! Race Drone is listed as one of Mimi's sponsors! So there is absolutely no excuse with Mimi's funny business with turning off her GPS tracker when we know that Race Drone's dedicated GPS tracker can transmit on virtually all the cell networks. This is getting more and more suspicious......... especially since I know realtime GPS tracking can also be spoofed and Race Drone doesn't have any protection against that either.

This real-time tracking deal IS very much in the minds of the ultra community, including Mimi. It is NOT a slight oversight. I have been posting portions of Mimi's quotes in the Ultra interview, with bolded emphasis on key quotes. My last transcribed installment from that interview is to follow.

back up, folks wrote:Well, thanks for that link (the mimi interview starts at 1:36:00).
I'm not sure if this has been brought up here, but besides the Strava upload, Mimi also says that she was to be carrying a GPS tracker. Is that still in effect? Is that not a real-time check on here whereabouts? Or can that be hacked? Or has she stopped carrying the tracker? Any answers or comments on these issues? (I'm new to this stuff.)
Interviewer: "How do you prepare?"
Mimi: "If I was to go out and do 53 miles everyday (in training), I’d probably get injured, or I'd knacker myself."
(continued)
Interviewer: "…you download it to Strava. Will you have a Heart Rate Monitor?
Mimi†“One of my watches does have a built in Heart Rate Monitor…the answer is no, I’m not...quite uncomfortable."
Interviewer: “hmmm..
Mimi: “…I’ve signed up to Strava.
Interviewer: “You’ve got multiple watches?â€
Mimi: “Suunto has given me four watches. The aim is…I’ve tried...and it’s quite uncomfortable, is to wear two watches, so, one on each hand.
Interviewer: “a backup…â€
Mimi: “Yes it is, yeah, because if one breaks down, then at least I know I’ve got it. We’ll see, I’ll do that for a bit. If it actually becomes too uncomfortable, then I will just have to wear one and make sure the second one is in the car, so if the other one breaks down I can then put it on.â€
Interviewer: “Yeah.â€
Mimi: “I have a tracker with me as well, which I will carry myself."
Interviewer: (interjects) “Yeah!â€
Mimi: "… so that’s there, so you can see this very slow dot going across America.
Interviewer: (chuckles)
Mimi: "... I will also have a tracker in one of the vehicles, and there will be another one in the RV, so people will be able to see where the RV is at any one time..."
Interviewer: (interjects) â€And where you are.â€
Mimi: “Yeah…and so they’ll know where I’m sorta heading, so that will be good."
