Might be smart for McBride to make it a fast heat
Walsh putting on a clinic!
Poland should not be allowed to have such a difference between the way surnames are spelled and the way they are pronounced. Who do they think they're kidding?
Heat 2 isn't very fast, Windle might be able to squeak in there.
Why are the Poles so good at track for such a relatively small country? They're always making the finals. Watch Lewandowski make it too.
What a finish!!! wrote:

Well, at least Amos got in to the frinal but that was a disaster strategically. He wasted SO MUCH energy. Didn't he like let up at the line a few years ago and not make it or am I making that up? Or was that Amos?
He was running in third on the backstretch and got squeezed by Harris and Kszcot and then panicked hopped out way wide and ran a ton of extra ground.
I guess it was the safest way to make sure you don't get boxed if your only goal is to finish 2nd but it's a great way to lose a final.
These guys need to remember an 800 doesn't really start until 600. Don't panic some 580 meters into it.

I wonder if it would be better to have like 2 heats of 10 or something. Have some guys share a lane and take top 4 and next 2 on time.
There are 9 lanes. Just going from 24 to 8 is brutal..
McBride and Korir at front,
WIth mcbride rabbiting this heat, it will be easy for Korir. If the final is like Korir or Amos will win for sure as there are no tactics.
Langford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell, Korir???
The Brits put all 3 thru to the semis? Nice for the home crowd. And now Langford to the final!
Korir flopped
Wow Korir died.
Wow Korir did not look good. Will have to sneak in on time. Windle and Harris both eliminated now.
What a stupid race by Korir , he jogged the first 100m then realized McBride was pushing the pace, so he sprinted into second, then he tied up the last 100. He is in the second fastest loser spot with one heat left. He could be out
Deer Drew Windle: please begin your kick with 110 left next time instead of 100.
Lol, what a choke job by Korir.
Come on Brazier, you're our only hope.
IN shotput news, Crouser is throwing like crap down in 6th place at 21.10, Kovacs is in 2nd, Walsh is winning with 21.75.

Well you probably feel stupid right now. It happens to all of us sometimes.

Can I take that back? Korir looked horrible. Totally faded. Had basically a rabbitted race and only managed a 1:45.

If you want to get in on time, you need to be top 4 and run faster than 1:45.93. 146.08 might get you in if you are 3rd.
