      • From the manual of the TT8, the flat top of the belt is 60 inches long with 3 inch diameter wheels at the ends. This gives an effective belt length of about 127 inches when you do the math.

        Anyone want to check my math?
        2*60 + 3 * Pi = 127 ?

        FAIL.

        The wheel diameter is actually 2.98in (Calibration, step 4). The manual actually doesn't say 60in either, that's in the specifications.

        Also, the manual explains why she was touching the treadmill.

      • Ha. I didn't think you actually would. I think a sample for each section after button presses is prudent enough. If she doesn't touch the treadmill you can presume the speed doesn't change.

        Thanks for checking my math, so the belt length would be about:
        2*60 + 3 * Pi = 129.36 inches

        Given that the other poster says the belt length new is 128 inches with up to 129 inches when stretched, I will use the greater 129.36 inches since that will give Amy Hughes a little bit more distance for the vendor of the doubt.

        Using this revised number, Amy Hughes running speed in the video would be about 4.6 mph and a walking speed of about 2.94 mph.

        What does the section of time you have represent? Is it a full day of activity?

        Doesn't seem worth the effort unless you can compare with her stated mileage.

        Should be a 2016/2017 model year since Amy Hughes received it from the Sole Fitness sponsor in 2016.

      • You guys put way to much effort in this.

        Latest next year Amy Hughes will smash all records from 24 hours to 6 days. She will be the new ultrarunning superstar.
        We have to believe her honest claims.

        But if she doesn't smash any records or can't even produce a decent 6 day race we know she is a cheater like Robert Young. He promised us to run a 6 day race this Spring but it didn't happen.

        It's that easy. Time will solve this for us.

        Given that she broke the record by less than < 1%, and you haven't measured the most basic unit (length) to that accuracy, how can you possibly be right?

        In April 2015 Amy trained Blue Peter presenter Lindsey Russell to run the London Marathon, deciding to tie in her own challenge with this Amy ran from her home town of Oswestry to London covering 250 miles in 6 days, averaging 32 miles a day.
