The solid-color singlets with no decoration or branding are terrible. Makes the whole meet look amateurish. The Summer Series needs some sort of uniform deal.
It's much better than it was last year whene athletes wore their sponsor kits which had absolutely no connection to their city teams. At least this year the major sponsors (minus Brooks and Oiselle) have created uniforms that connect them to their city teams. Adding the team logos would enhance the look
Blankenship redeems himself. Merber, nice run. Sadly no 3:36s. Andrews drops? Like really dude.
That was ridiculous. No one went with lomong. Andrews drops. Total waste of time.

Overrated p*ssy smh
Blankenship looked legit in the new shades.
He should wear those sunglasses every time from now on

Every other race was fine. Total running nerds.
Except for Andrews. Gave a cool wink, then went out and dropped out.
To be fair, Lopez went too fast the first lap.
Andrews DNF, looked like he was hurting with 600 to go and dropped out right after the bell. Blankenship takes the victory with a strong last 300m, holds off Engels and Alexander, along with kyle Merber closing hard. Merber goes home DEVASTATES by 0.006 seconds according to announcers

I'm guessing he dropped because he knew that he wasn't going to hit the standard and now he is going to have to try again in the very near future. Probably decided to save it rather than kick hard to a meaningless 3:37.
Really poorly done broadcast imo. Difficulty with the stream dropping out (although that could just be me) and then for example cutting to field events during the 800. My stream cut out right at 1100 meters into the 1500 and when I got it back the race was over. Hopefully ESPN does better.
Seriously WTF was that about. Andrews just gave up.
quick guess it will be hard for Andrews to run 3:36. Slow tactical win at Nats doesn't seem like it equates to 3;36. He may need to get over to Europe ASAP for another opportunity. DNF doesn't bode well.
Robby drops out with a lap to go as it becomes clear they won't hit the standard. He had to be a big boy and stick on Lomong, but he (and everybody else) hung back, so Lomong let the pace lag. Disappointing.
Blankenship very very narrow win over Merber. 3:37.x. Engels 3rd
Inika McPherson still trying to make it back from that doping ban I see

Must have been you. My stream stayed strong the entire time.
Thankfully the last meet is on TV. Coburn's running it.

Luckily, I only spent ten minutes or so on it, so it was a total waste of not much time!
Andrews leads from the gun until about 500-600 to go, doesn't stick with Lomomg (55 first quarter???) and lets a gap grow, Lomomg realized and started waving them towards him with 500m left. Blankenship goes strong and shoots off with 300 to go, with Engels and Alexander right on him. With 100 to go it was those three but Merber closed hard. All VERY close but Merber and Blankenship looked even, Blankenship wins by 0.006

56 first lap isn't too bad. 56, 59, 58, 43 would be reasonable pacing for 3:35 (equal pace on first and last laps). Anyways, the field went though in 57, so they could have had even better pacing if they had stuck with Lomong on the 2nd and 3rd laps. I feel that these elites are often not aware of the pace as they are running.
What were the M1500 splits? Results?
Did anyone else have surges in the stream, with it slowing down and then speeding up? Full screen seemed to make it worse.
