| It's feasible. What I want to know is what's the best way to do it? Or, is there a best way? |

Just gut instinct (pun or no) tells me to drink maybe 6-8 at night (say midnight) then you get a good solid sleep. Wake up and do your long run (try for like 18-20 miles) then have a few more beers for lunch. Run again for 4-6 in the afternoon and finish the day by steady drinking. Hope you make your 24 before passing out. |

Even splits are always the way to go, in a marathon, or in something unique like this one. Figure out a mile loop around your 'hood. Each hour you need to run a mile and drink a beer. You won't get tired, and shouldn't get wasted as long as your body can process the alcohol. |

Some guys on my old XC team tried to do "insomnoholics" where they drank a beer every hour for 24 hrs. Of course they didn't make it. |

i think there was a thread on here a while back about doing the same thing, but substitute 100 for 24. that would be something to talk about. |

Yeah, and substitute a WHOLE WEEKEND for one day. See the difference? (Or did you think people were doing 100 beers and 100 miles in a day??) |

I was young when I heard this so it didn't mean much to me at the time, but didn't Andre the Giant drink 112 beers one day then have a glass of wine at dinner? Something ridiculous like that. He didn't run 24 miles though. |

"Yeah, and substitute a WHOLE WEEKEND for one day. See the difference? (Or did you think people were doing 100 beers and 100 miles in a day??)" i bet if you were a damn good ultra-runner, and you drank beer ALOT, you could pull this off . damn that 4.16 beers an hour?? hmm... you know what this isnt such bad idea, i was going to be pretty board this summer ...but. |

this is the most obvious and best answer...if you're a decent runner who can get through 24 without too much trouble. why ruin a good time once you start drinking by going and running more? get er done in one shot. |

The reality is that most in shape runners would have a much harder time doing this...24 beers for a 130 pound dude is a lot harder than for a 180 pound dude...however, they can both probably shlep through the 24 miles.... |

I agree with monkiefs, just do 24 miles or so which will take you maybe 2 1/2 hours or so, then grab a 24 of some pabst and have at it. Just make sure you get a lot of sleep before this you dont want to get drowsy during this cuz then your done for sure. I heart U monkiefs |
