What a load of BS.
Do you think Dathan, Tara or others would have said anything if they achieved greatness e.g. World, Olympic or world records. Would they have said anything if they had broken world records and got lucrative sponsorship deals and bonuses. I'll tell you straight the answer is no. More like they are bitter because they did not achieve greatness in athletics and the Oregon Project and now crying like little kids in giving the impression they were forced to take the meds.
The lot of then are hypocrites. Funny how Dathan never said anything when he broke the 5000m American record but he was happy to take the bonuses for doing so.
I am not trying to defend the Oregon Project whatsoever and want drug use out of athletics more than anything. What I am trying to say is the whistleblowers should have come forward earlier when it was all happening rather than leaving it do late in the day.

I don't know. And neither do you.
Of course he didn't say anything because his contract would have been extinguished!. And being a poor athlete is not fun, which is why a lot of those athletes dealt with the bullying. Being forced to take medication when your test results state that you don't need it pretty much lets you know what they were going through. Plus when you're young, your dumb, and a lot of them got smarter as they got older.
Yes, they didn't have to do what they were told to do or take. However, they would have faced the consequences of being unemployed...and that is not easy to deal with, which is why women are so easily abused by their employers in corporate america, which makes them vulnerable. Athletes are no different because they depend on sponsorship in order to make a living.

yeah nike really needs people to market them lol like they dont have guys like lebron james, kevin durant, and ronaldo...
I would have thought "oh, shit, we feel stupid for having our document leaked/hacked and we are in the process of figuring out what happened and who is responsible" would have been the more appropriate response to all of this. If I accidentally made someone's medical records public, my immediate followup would NOT be "okay, well now that that's out there, let me talk more about it."
Can someone post the quotes from Dathan and Tara?

I'd like to point out that in 2012 during the USA 10k trials Dathan went for it and impressed a lot of us. As of that performance there was no real reason to think that his career was on the decline. This would have been right after the L-C fiasco and while it would have likely been going on for many of the athletes in question. Some time after this Dathan quietly walked away, told the truth to USADA, and didn't stir up any trouble. We can speculate that he might have been a worse human being had he had more success or a better human being had he had even less success, but both are hypothetical. The fact is he had some highs and lows but exonerated himself with more grace than the others still drinking the Kool Aid or the others who used the fiasco for publicity.
If all I can say about this guy is that he stopped taking thyroid medication his coach put him on and that he walked away from the coach after realizing his coach lied to him about the legality of it, then I'll still shake his hand after he beats me in a race. Sounds like the coach abusing coach/athlete trust.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
