I honestly enjoy track and field. I coach track for a living. I want to be clear that I'm not trolling before I wade much further into this topic.
Much of the coverage on this web site centers around the marathon. Much of the marathon world is dominated by east africans. That being said I'm not very interested in how "Kenyan B" competed in the Dubai Marathon.
My question is this, am I in the minority? Granted track isn't like the NFL. There aren't dominant personalities that face off week in and week out. There are few compelling story lines in the professional world.
Is the coverage focused on the marathon because it is a more compelling product than anything domestically? Just want to see what the community thinks.
