Goal: 2:31 at Boston
Good week for me. Fell back on mileage by design. Nailed my workouts for the most part. Went a little overboard on the cruise miles, running them close to 10k pace than tempo pace, but generally felt under control and most of the pacing issues were the result of an aggressive first 400.
M - 7 easy
Tu - 6 easy
W - 8 easy; 6 x 1 mile (track) with 1:00 rest (5:13:, :14, :16, :13, :14, :08) 2 down
Th - 6 easy
F - 6 easy
Sa - 2 up; 4 x 1 mile (roads) with 1:00 rest (5:16, :13, :14, :16); 11 easy: 5k at slowish tempo (17:18)*; cool down - 22 total
Su - 7.5

* The 5k was run in place of a second set of 4 x 1 mile as a 12 year old girl in my area was seeking to run sub 17:30 for some kind of age group record (roads maybe?). She nailed a 17:16.
Two weeks to the taper. Just need to get smart about not killing the rest of my workouts. The hay is just about in the barn.
