19.80 Atto Bolden.
"Boldon still holds Pac-10 meet records in 100m (10.03) and 200m (20.00) as well as UCLA records in those two events - 100m (9.90) and 200m (19.80)."
OP is talking about the indoor record.
Watching Richards run, he isn't the best turn runner so he's going to run faster on an oversized track vs a banked track. Since NCAAs is on a banked track, I don't see him breaking. I also don't think he wins.
True, but the OP failed to mention anything about indoor or outdoor. His error.
I was talking about the indoor record. Can better competition push him to run another .25 sec faster or was yesterday his peak?
Maybe, but the 19.80 outdoors is out of reach. Has been for years for any runners.
Not too concerned about Ato's record. More interested in what he does come NCAA'S.
If don't care about records, only NCAAs, why did you start a thread about breaking a record?
I am currently concerned with what he does in NCAA'S Indoor in a couple of weeks. The thread is about the indoor record. We can worry about what the guy runs outdoor after Nationals.

Xman. 19.63 age 20.
He won't get it. He's a 200m specialist but hasn't run close to 20.1 outdoors. A quarter second drop is a tremendous amount. I don't think he's the ncaa favorite, i bet kerley would beat him.
Carter had already turned pro at that point.

Nope. Didn't turn pro until later that month.
T&FN indicates it's Dix, 19.69 for the absolute record.
You sprinters really know your stuff!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
