I have noticed that Garrett and Elliott Heath both heel strike, yet their PBs at 1,500-10,000m are of professional runners. My question is if they changed their form to forefoot would they improve their times? And how come elite runners use this running technique? Don't they have a coach that tells them "you should run forefoot? And could it be that after all, this whole story of heelstriking vs forefoot is what one is accustomed to and less that one technique is good and the other is horrible. I mean if the only way to run long distance in high elite paces was using forefoot, we shouldn't see anyone of the elites using it, yet we still see them here and there?
