Very happy with the way today's race went.
I ran 5:14 in 47 degrees. It was dry air. I was in spikes. Laps were:
35 (for 200) 1:14, 1:22 (2:36), 1:24 (4:00), 1:14 (5:14)
First lap felt INCREDIBLY smooth, which is surprising I haven't done any speedwork other than strides and a few hills. By the way, it was a three way race and I won, beating the two pacers. Final 100 was a deadass sprint.
How fast can I go by the end of the season if I start incorporating speed work? Can someone give me a sample week?
SUB 4:50 HERE I COME!!!
P.S. Is a PR like this good for this time of year? I know it's a PR in the offseason but it wasn't by much and it took a lot of work to get.
