For the colleges list there are no merit based scholarships. the Ivy lead schools did away with them.As far as fathurts, the amount we have to pay for tuition is very much directly related to the topic. You brought up FASFA into the topic. It does not help upper middle class families.
I don't know if Donald would have won without my backing, but with all my backing there was NO way he would lose.I don't want retaliation from the usa, but I do want all the leaders from the other countries to know that I did this. I will be The dominant world leader. The dim witted American minions will never accept that I played them. This is how it should be.With Donald I have finally put a crack in the western alliance. Everything is perfect just as I planned. Now time to go swimming in 63 degree water. It's good to be me.Vladimir

^this. There was no reason for it to be a close contest, other than one party chose to put forward an old, white, establishment white woman that clearly has no soul.

I don't understand what that sentence is trying to say.

The second part of my post was directed to another poster.
I do not believe you have three kids all with everything paid and it was all merit based.......athletes? I bet there was aneeds component.
The ivy league schools will accept but are really not interested in high achieving, upper middle class white students.

Because for whatever reason, the Democrats basically gave everything up leading into the general election. Obama did not cater to the swing vote that typically decides a general election.
The system currently delivers two false choices while many voters are quite happy mimicking a curious blend of religion and fake economics that has only harmed them for the last 40 years.

Let's get back to why we are talking about admissions. Trump wants to investigate schools he thinks are practicing reverse discrimination.
The point that the article made was that it's not blacks that are keeping white middle class kids out of their first choice school. Instead, it's rich kids. The article says that rich kids have lots of advantages such as better education opportunities and legacy status.
But as I have contended, the main reason rich kids get in before poor kids is because the college makes more money from kids whose parents are able to put up more cash for tuition.
FAFSA is one way admissions determines what you are "able" to pay.
But if you think FAFSA doesn't accurately reflect what you are "able" to pay then that is indeed a different topic. You are then arguing with the FAFSA administrators and not the school's admissions officers.
The admissions officers are the target of Trump's ire. Not FAFSA.

Regarding; "What's there not understand." (not quite English, by the way), here is the sentence in question:
"For the colleges list there are no merit based scholarships."
Well, for one thing, you might try using English next time. Unless, of course, you think that the sentence represents perfect English (which would say a great deal about why your kids are incapable of winning merit-based scholarships).
Here, let me help you out here. If you truly wished to refer to Ivy League schools then you might have tried something like; "Ivy League schools do not offer any merit-based scholarships." or perhaps, "For Ivy League colleges there are no merit-based scholarships."
You know, English.
Now, as regards; "I do not believe you have three kids all with everything paid and it was all merit based.......athletes? I bet there was aneeds component."
You are wrong. Further, you are displaying both your ignorance and your arrogance in presuming to know anything about my kids other than what I have told you.
In spite of your ignorance and arrogance I will answer the question you asked and dispense with your additional display or ignorance/arrogance.
1) No, while my kids were all successful high school athletes, none of them were good enough to compete for the universities that they chose to attend. They certainly were not good enough to even be looked at for athletic scholarships.
2) No, there was absolutely zero needs component. Indeed, I was quite confident that none of my kids would qualify for financial aid. As a result, I did not even bother to submit a FAFSA form.
Now, a little life advice for you my very best of friends - try discussing things that you know something about. It is generally best not to comment on something that you do not know anything about (my kids' college scholarships, for instance).

Donald is smart enough to follow my example. Its hard to consolidate one's power with an independent media. You need to control the message that the people receive. Our media is now state controlled. I made that move. This is how I became the greatest world leader. Even Donald has stated what a great leader I am. Its good to be me. I am off to spear some pike.Vladimir

Actually they clearly were not Ivy league schools. Less prestigious schools do give out major merit based scholarships to raise the average numbers.
What schools were they?
Honestly, I feel sorry for you. To waste your time coming on here writing embarrassing things as if Vladimir would say the things that you post is just plain stupid. You are either an idiot SHILL creating hits for this site or just a moron with no life. I can't believe the stupid people on this site. I rarely post, but laugh when I occasionally read such garbage troll/shill posts. What a sad life you must lead.

Wait, did I claim that my kids went to Ivy League schools?
Now, as far as less prestigious schools is concerned, are you claiming that the Ivy League schools rank as the top 8 most prestigious schools?
With Trump now leading the superpower the United States, I become the world's greatest leader. My life is good. Now I guaranteed a victory for Donald but Donald did have a specific skill set that was very helpful His language resonated with the angry disenfranchised population. Those who felt disrespected because others were stealing their jobs or giving other groups special favors or they felt others thinking they were smarter or morally superior.Trump was good with this group and I knew just which fake stories they would believe and run with. They want simple words and name calling is their language. This angry group was easy to manipulate. They loved words like idiot, moron, stupid, garbage, and was sad life. It was too easy with this group.I got my way. I always do.Vladimir
