Do you have double runs?
I've found that if you're doing 10-20 miles a day that having a 2-3 mile day is resting. Personally, I ALWAYS feel better for having at least a bit of a run. Hill always attributed his success to having two six week periods of "active rest," usually 30-40 mpw week for him.
The fourth American to run under 2:20 for the marathon was Lou Castagnola. He had an interesting take on running streaks though I have no idea how we got to that topic. He told me he'd run for years without missing a day's training despite the fact that he ran six days a week. "There was no workout scheduled for that seventh day," he told me. "How can you miss a run that's not there?"
Try quads....Twin dads are only half the dad!
What's the minimum daily run to keep the streak going?
From their website:
United States Running Streak Association, Inc.
est. 2000
The official definition of a running streak, as adopted by the Streak Runners International, Inc., and United States Running Streak Association, Inc., is to run at least one mile (1.61 kilometers) within each calendar day. Running may occur on either the roads, a track, over hill and dale, or on a treadmill.
On day 1299 here. I was riddled with injuries before my streak, and have managed over 3 years of being injury free. Your body definitely adjusts to running every day.
Never have done a planned streak , but I think my low limit to call it a running streak would be 4 miles a day. What's the point of a 1 mile(probably shuffle) run other than to keep a streak alive? No big deal unless it's like 20 years if the 1 mile is part of it.
My minimum is 2 miles. I have a favorite day before a race route that is 2.2 miles. When not racing I try to go at least 5 every day.

I think 30 minutes is a better measure than any sort of distance. It allows adjustment for terrain, weather, injury, and just plain "not feeling it."

I know this is an attempt to troll me, but i don't get it.
It really wasn't a troll, and it is true. I saw "355 and running streak" and since I was also doing a streak of sorts, I chimed in. I guess it's a bit out of place here.
How long should one wait until running 7 days a week? (I'm thinking one rest day every 3 weeks, so one day off per month)
I'm running from exactly one year and currently at 50-55 mpw in 6 days. I experimented a bit with adding a 2 mile run on my day off as a kind of active recovery on my day off but I stopped because I wasn't sure if it was good or not. I'm certainly more tight after my day off though but I'm concerned is too early in my running life for this. I'm 24 btw
the obvious questions:
How many runs were off of pure hate?
How often did you look relaxed?
Were all the runs in trainers?
What kind of fuel belt do you use?
What are the best headphones?
Most importantly of all did Mike Rossi the viral internet dad cheat?

Here too.
Non-twin dads are hobby-dads.
I'm a total hobby dad. Three kids spaced 2 years apart each, and the stroller thing was good while it lasted. I get obsessive about streaks and mileages and have always ended up getting hurt so when I hit a 30-day streak this year I made myself take a break. Power to the people that can do it every day. I always feel crummy when I miss a day and kill a streak but I feel it is necessary to me.

I think two kids of different ages is worse. If they are the same age, you just do the same thing twice...two baths, two bottle, two diapers, two of everything, but the each item is the same, you only have to do the setup/cleanup once.
if the kids are different ages, its different work for each one, requiring different setup/cleanup/customization for each.
Economies of scale work in your favor.
Twins are #'s 2 and 3. #1 is 20 months old. 3 kids under the age of 2. And the oldest is the most challenging. Twins would be a breese if we only had them.
I definitely use my streak as a healthy, maybe, outlet for my self diagnosed OCD that usually gets me into more unhealthy choices.
More streaking dads! I'm all for it.

3 under two is just bananas. Mine are 9, 7 & 2 and we still struggle to keep the laundry clean and the dishes done.

Water bill. WATER BILL. Water is generally the least expensive utility...yet bc of dishes and laundry i pay around $150 a month. I knew that 3 kids in diapers would be expensive, but the water is a killer! The dishwasher gets run at least once daily, bottles hand washed 12+ times a day, and laundry is around twice daily.

i have twin dads
Congrats! I made it to 422 days. If you have not already done so you can sign up with the good folks below a the United States Running Streak Association. Nice folks, good support.
Oh, and I have 4 kids and 3 grandkids....but no twins...
