Also, people are categorized into categories not by things like age, but by weight. Under 200 pounds is "Clydesdale or Athena wannabe"

This is the original letter that went out with a “Fat Boy†t-shirt to just under 30 members of the Baton Rouge community in 1990. The first running of the Fat Boy 5k happened in March 1991.
You are an instant winner!
Without calling a 900 number you have been selected as a recipient of the original Fat Boys Running Club shirt. Your credentials include some or all of the following:
(1) the ability to at least slow down at every Baskin Robbins
(2) you are known as a “buffet buster†at “all you can eat†establishments
(3) a light diet means you start eating when it gets light
(4) light beer is OK if you get enough of it
(5) your ideal racing weight remains a perpetual myth and goal
(6) your P.R. is expressed by only the time, but on a Richter Scale
Now that you know the credentials, wear your shirt with pride and support the group when a call goes out. Happy calorie counting.

Last year, the fat boys consumed 70 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, 15 gallons of Kleinpeter fully leaded chocolate milk, 1000 Manda Po boys, 6 kegs of Mockler Beverage beer , 750 Moon Pies, enough Coke products to float a boat, and large amounts of Power Water... And yes, we also had a few dozen bananas for those not so fat boys.
