My daughter is 7 and we run together when I can get her to. She runs around 12 or 13 minute mile pace. Do I count these in my mpw?

Sure if you already ran solo earlier, then you can count it as a double day.
That's Great! Keep us updated!

I usually use it as a warmup. Do a 2 mile loop with her and then go for like a 6 mile run. Do I count it as 6 or 8? I mean, Its basically walking speed, but the bouncing has to be putting some stress on my joints, so I don't know. I'm trying to build my milage up but it's hard to chart milage when there are variables like this
NO. those are badger miles, and therefore do not count

You're a high schooler and have a 7 year old? because nobody older than that would ask such an inane question.
Why dont you add it as half a mile extra I mean some aerobic thingy must be happening.
If you go 3 times a week with your daugher its 1 mile and half.

We run 2 to 3 miles. Sometimes 5 times a week. Sometime only 1 or 2 a week. I'm only concerned with injury prevention. If I run 45 miles on my own but add 12 miles with her, that's a big jump in milage. Do I count it, or do I not?
Of course you can the obsession with amassing bragging mileage seems to be endemic in the LetsRun post college runner.
Since you are looking for justification to pad your weekly/yearly mileage :
I bestow justification !
I suggest you keep track of those 20 yard jog steps to catch the bus, the sprint from the car to the porch in the rain and those running steps you use to beat the crosswalk light. In a month you might get to a tenth of a mile (you are rounding up to the nearest tenth in your log right?) --hey every little bit counts.
No but you can count them as kpw.
This is Letsrun, nothing over 4:50/mile counts.
Yes, count the miles. I count the miles I've run with my daughter. Adding 7-12 slow miles per week makes it easy to make the jump from 45 to 60 mpw at normal paces, whenever you decide to make that jump. At least, it worked for me.

doesn't know what a badger mile is
Nor do I.
To the OP, I think you should count them double because you're being an awesome dad.
