Anybody run this in 2016? Reading mixed reviews on whether it would still be considered a "fast course." Comparing this to Eugene for a PR.

Anybody?
had a buddy who's run it...sounds blazing fast, at least according to him. very gradual downhill the entire way (some flat, but mostly slight downhill). good luck. def faster than eugene.
Things. A new course in 2016 is the reason for my pause. Several of the reviews online say new course isn't all that fast anymore.
I don't know what the course used to be but I used to live in the area and It's hard to imagine the current course isn't very fast. There's a little loop with a small uphill in the first couple of miles in Ojai then 22+ miles of gentle downhill to Ventura. It'll be quite scenic as well.

I'd say cool (40s-50s) overnight, warm (70s-80s) later in the day. It takes until mid-morning to warm up so if the start time is early you'll miss the highs.
