Hi so I'm a little below average runner (19:48 5k but that should go down this year since I'm motivated to actually run some mileage) going into my senior year and have been looking at colleges. As a Georgia resident, there aren't a lot of good d3 options in state (especially that I would be able to run with) so I'm thinking about club running at a bigger d1 school. After visiting UGA and doing some research on it, I really think it would be a great place to attend college.
Academically, I'm about average qualified (28 ACT, 31 superscore, 3.9 GPA, 7 AP classes).
Obviously, I wouldn't be able to run on the team as they are a competitive SEC Division 1 team. I have heard some good things on this forum about NIRCA, which UGA is a member of, and just wondering if anyone here has experienced the club program there.
If anyone has been on the NIRCA team at UGA (or at any in the southeast region) all feedback and advice about the club would be greatly appreciated. With my times, I think club running is probably the right choice for me.
