Pole vault is the king of T&F events.
Speed, strength, and agility are required. It is the most technical of events, but still the fastest athlete usually wins.
It also has the best looking athletes. You need to be balanced since it needs lower and upper body excellence to compete . You are fighting gravity, so you have to be lean, but you also need to be ripped to the extent that distance dweebs can only dream of.
Great story line on the women's side with the top 3 coming off fantastic, but injury affected seasons. The men's side has a medal prospect with Sam kendricks and a pretty open field below him, but still quality.
Like a distance race, a PV competition starts out boring, but gets more exciting as it progresses.
There is also a high possibility for a star no-heighting, so that would decrease the odds of you paying out a big prize (I'm sure you are already taking steps to mitigate this risk anyway).
Shot put is a pretty cool event too, but I think discus was in the ancient Olympics so has that going for it. Shot is still my fav throw to watch though.
No javelin. People actually get stabbed by that thing. No hammer throw. At most meets it's held so far away from the main field that no one sees it. You don't need both the long jump and the triple jump. This time, triple jump seems more interesting.
The contest is open for testers if you want to get in your running event picks:

Let us know if you have see any errors before our formal launch tomorrow with field events. Should be a tremendous trials.
I actually think that long jump is more competitive than triple jump, since there are a bunch of guys who can actually win it and Rutherford is perhaps just the slight favourite
Taylor is the clear fav for triple jump
The deepest and most competitive men's field event is the shot. There are about 6 men who could win the trials and are good enough to win in Rio. It is always intense to just make the team.
W. Spearmon Jr scratched in both the 100 and 200

A few little bugs like how both qualifying and SB columns in the men's events say "Top 2016 Mark", but overall pretty good! Made some very early picks and can't wait to see when the prizes get revealed!
When will the final version launch?
When will this be launched?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
