Prolly only qualified for the EJ wave at the BolderBoulder since he was banned from intervals at Fairview a couple weeks ago and life just wasn't worth living.

He doesn't look like a runner. Maybe he could do BB10k under 1 hour? Tough to say. Maybe he was pissed because of the prices to buy foods at the nearby Alfalfa's Market?
Pointing anything that's longer than it is wide at cops is a bad idea with a predictable outcome.

I agree. Just wondering why anyone would do such as a thing. It seems so pointless
You answered your own question with your username.
Police lie. It is dubious whether or not he pointed a gun at anyone.
Thanks to the NRA and Trump wanting to get rid of gun free zones we'd be allowing these people into schools with our children! I'm with Hillary and we need to get rid of the NRA terrorists and the 2nd amendment that wrongly kills children every 10 minutes.

That's the most logical thing. It's a pretty despicable thing to do, making someone else shoot you. That cop has to live with taking a life just because some suicidal idiot wasn't quite sure enough about his decision to do it himself.
He was probably showing his cell phone to them, and they "found" a gun in his hand after killing him.

You really that dense? Dude intent on killing a room full of children always thinks to himself, "Dammit! If it wasn't for those laws against take guns in to school, I'd go in there and slaughter all of them."
Dude got smoked by the boulder popo
Sounds like a case of suicide by cop.
What gets me is that the cop(s) who shot him have to now deal with the aftermath of taking another life. Even if the shooting is in self-defense it could still be psychologically damaging to the officer(s).
As least he did not pull the murder-suicide trick..

Maybe In Colorado Springs someone would've shot him before the police did?
