They tweeted out the teams today:
Men
Eliud Kipchoge (2016 London champ, 2015 London/Berlin champ)
Stanley Biwott (2016 London runner-up, 2015 NYC champ)
Wesley Korir (4th at 2016 Boston, 6th at 2015 Chicago)
Reserves:
Cyprian Kotut (2016 Paris champ in 2:07:11; only other marathon was 2:08:55 for 2nd in Milan last year)
Bernard Kipyego (2016 Tokyo runner-up, 2015 Amsterdam champ)
So Dickson Chumba, who won 2015 Chicago and was 2nd at 2016 Tokyo, and Wilson Kipsang, who was 4th at 2015 NYC and 5th at 2016 London (plus the defending Olympic bronze medallist) aren't even alternates.
Women
Helah Kiprop (2016 Tokyo champ, 2015 Worlds runner-up)
Jemima Sumgong (2016 London champ, 4th at 2015 Worlds)
Visiline Jepkesho (2016 Paris champ, 20th at 2015 Worlds; 2:24:44 pb)
Reserves:
Mary Keitany (9th at 2016 London, 2015 NYC champ)
Florence Kiplagat (3rd at 2016 London (second Kenyan), 2015 Chicago champ)
Jepkesho's pb is exactly 5:00 slower than Kiplagat's. And even slower than Keitany's.
I think AK got it 2/3 right on both teams but I disagree with the Korir/Jepkesho selections.
