Went for a massage yesterday. I get regular massages and have been going to the same therapist for over a year. She said my entire right side is tight, namely: hamstring, quads, IT band, adductors. The hamstring was the worst. She always uses the deep tissue technique, and there was one spot on the hamstring in which I had to say, "Stop." It was quite tender. She does not think it is a pulled hamstring, as she said it would have been even tighter. Plus, I can run. In fact, I did not have any hamstring pain in my 10-miler yesterday--just hamstring tightness (only in the right leg). I live in a hilly area, and run hills regularly. I also ran a hilly 10k on Saturday.
Is my hamstring overstretched? Since my whole right side is tight, am I somehow favoring my right leg? This is my real concern. I had a left groin injury, and am just about over that. Some residual tightness/soreness there, but not much. I welcome your input, and thank you in advance.
