In his interview (http://www.garycohenrunning.com/Interviews/Robinson.aspx) Khadevis is quoted "I have a system that works." Does anyone have a better description of that system?

I've heard it is similar/based on Igloi training.

As someone who may or may not have run for him, and may or may not have friends who still run for him (ooooo...mysterious), he has no system. There is absolutely no conception of macrocycles or anything that resembles a coherent training plan. He thinks that because supremely talented individuals like himself and Johnny Gray found success under the Igloi system that it must be a silver bullet.
His is a sick basterdization (sic) of the Igloi system that demonstrates a rudimentary, at best, understanding of physiology. In his interview he even mentions that it is unwise to change something (his metaphor is baking a cake) without a fundamental understanding of its underpinnings. Yet he modifies Igloi on a daily basis.
Go talk to the multiple guys on his team who were sub-9:30 in high school, but aren't sniffing 15:00 on the track in their 2nd and 3rd years in college. He, of course, would point to the select few athletes on his team who have found a modicum of success (neglecting to note their accomplishments prior to running for him) as a justification of his methods. Then, he would contend that the athletes who by all means should be running much faster are only underperforming because they fail to "buy in".
He would probably knock it out of the park with a guy like Donovan Brazier, but a standard 9:20 high school kid hoping to run 14:15-14:30 by the end of college would be much better served nearly anywhere else.
Only example I saw was 3 x 200m with 50m jog haha- I've heard enough Bob Schul talks to know that the "system" works for very talented athletes- but does little to promote growth with the general pop.
You seem very upset. So, you don't like the training??
I found this article online:
http://www.scienceofrunning.com/2010/02/interval-training-why-its-misunderstood.htmlGave a bunch of information on the training. I'd worry about the mental stress of being on the track doing that many intervals, even if at a "slower" pace. Part of the joy of running is getting on the roads/trails and pounding out long runs, tempo runs, recovery runs, etc. If I had to be at the track every day, I think I would learn to hate it...
I totally agree with "raw thang."
Also being someone who may or may not have run for him,Khadevis has no ability to listen. He can't personalize a program... He is someone who has moderate success with 800 meter runners, being as that was his event. But even so, he manages to burn most of them out.
He has no concept of distance running and he is the most egotistical man in the world. He broke a program at Ohio State and then did the same thing at LSU. Now he has come back to Ohio State yet again, brought on by Karen Dennis, who is still somehow miraculously coaching there.
Personal opinion... no athlete who has potential will see any success under Khadevis Robinson.
I can't speak to KD at all but it's rare in most sports for athletes to think that their coach is good or knows whats best for his players/runners. In running the bitching and whining is even worse because most runners are obsessive nerds who are convinced that they know everything about everything. I have no idea if Kd is a goos coach or not but I know for sure that it would be awful to coach the insufferable twats who post here.
Agreeing with what Rawthang said as well. If people want a taste on the inside view...
Workout: Have women run on treadmill and randomly go around and increase their incline or speed without any structure
Girls a few minutes late for the bus so they had to do push ups in front of the rest of the team as punishment
Show up to 6am practice then cancel it because he didn't like their energy
Start off a 14-15mi long run for the guys with an all out mile just because
Literally doesn't plan that week of training and comes up with workouts on the spot. Won't tell anyone (including coaches) that days run in advance because it's a secret.
And some great quotes:
"How far is an 8k?" asked to an OSU guy member when KD was there in 2012
"We don't get fast by running slow" in response to current team members suggestion of doing tempo runs after KD asked the team how they think they could improve after the last place showing at the ND invite.
So what were the reasons Dennis Shaver of LSU fired Khadevus Robinson? I read that Robinsons "system" got some kids hurt .

False. Athletes buy in when they have success or see success.
Raw Thing said it best, KD isn’t meant to coach average high school boys into a average college men. That’s proably the reason why his system didn’t work for the people on this message board who may or may no have ran for KD or may or may not have a friend who still runs or ran for KD.

I probably have the most insight on Schul training and developing young talent. You are correct....it will not develop any non talented runners.
Facts: The average African American IQ is 80.
The average sub-Saharan African IQ is 70.
We can come up with explanations for why these facts are true, but they are facts.

You are an idiot and a racist.
Stop your whining. Most 9:20 3200m/two milers will never race 8:20 two miles, no matter the system. The fact that you're a two mile/5000m specialist in college means you have marginal talent. I am sure you did not show up at your first day of college as a sub-50 400m guy. Don't blame your coach because you had goals of being the next Steve Prefontaine and now you doubt that will occur. Look in the mirror and blame the one looking back at you and blame your grandparents for their genes. Grow up.
Most every major NCAA program on the women’s side gets some athletes w 57-58 400 capability; relatively few produce a 4:32+ miler indoors.

Facts are racist? Asian countries at the top of the list as far as IQ is concerned(Ashkenazi Jews have the highest IQ by any ethnicity). European countries are next. Than everybody else.
https://brainstats.com/average-iq-by-country.htmlhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Jewish_intelligenceYou were an athlete of his I can tell because you don’t know crap, of course you will think the weeks training wasn’t planned. Of course you will think KD had no clue what he was doing. You had to be on the low end of the totem pole.
Here’s the raw deal, KD focuses on those that are NCAA national talent and they know the why as far as his training philosophy goes. He will not baby developmental kids, you have to take ownership and work hard to earn that. “That” being him giving you more attention and insight as into what he’s trying to accomplish with you. The guy plans the training he just doesn’t feel the need to explain it to every single kid on the team whenever they asked. An ego, of course but not irrationally, everything has its purpose. Weak minded kids will fail miserably as one of his athletes because he won’t coddle you that’s for sure!
Hi KD
