Evan Jager was asked if he was surprised by Chelimo and he said no, he knew Chelimo was a threat because he beat Jenkins at one of the Portland meets.

Please clean the lens on your camera before doing any interviews tomorrow. If you need it, I have a lens cloth with me and will be out there tomorrow.
Is Paul Chelimo a US citizen? or is he just in the Army Program. I would love to see this guy competing for the USA for years to come. Born in 1990 means he has 5-8 years of running at a top level (maybe more if he takes a couple notes from Lagat or Meb).
He is a US citizen. That's part of the requirements to be in the Army Team. Once they are accepted to join the Army, they get their citizenship before they graduate Basic Combat Training.
Yes, IAAF transfer of allegiance site confirms he has been eligible to compete for the USA as of last year. http://www.iaaf.org/about-iaaf/documents/transfer-of-allegiance
I know he saluted at the finish, but did he also salute ant the end of the backstretch with about 10 seconds left in the race?
Is Chelimo the new Lagat? Will he break all the American middle distance records in the next few years?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
