Woah.
Saying Allie. O hadn't run in the last TWO weeks.
Reason being knee pain, apparently that flared up..combined with doing nothing for two weeks.
She's injured?!

Seems to be the case unfortunately. Announcers said they talked to her and she said she hadn't run in the past two weeks due to knee pain but wanted to give it a rip here, but between knee pain/lack of fitness from two weeks off..wasn;t to be.

When the camera cut to Allie after she stepped off the track, her upper right thigh was covered in bruises. What gives? That's a bit concerning....
Sounds like she shouldn't be running for awhile.
Did she have to stop?
I think disappointment will only make her better
Have the NDers finished?

Let me get this straight. So all milers are stupid for believing their best chance is to rely on their kick? But wouldn't they absolute morons if they decided to try to serve as pacers for the field by leading?
Have to agree with Malmo here.
Didn't you have to run at least 3:58 to get here?
If you aren't one of the best do you want to be leading this group?
You don't watch the first heat and think you have to run 4:08 but not lose to more than 5 people.
You just line up and try to get top 4.
Which means you don't go out and sacrifice yourself to hit a pace.
That sucks coz she has trials coming up in 4 months!
Moly Seidel!!! 15:15

Seidel looked awesome. Without a zillion lapped runners she would have been close to CR.

Not how it works for the straight a's since third grade type
I wonder if she will take this like she took that B in, what was it, 3rd grade? I hope so, encourage her to have a strong spring season, shame that she had to drop out but better that then to stay in and only risk making the injury worse.
Love me some Molly, but what is up with the headband/earwarmer thing?
That's a great time! Rohrer second?
Seidel - also a very well-spoken young woman. Kudos to her and good luck in the 3k.

If it was me, I'd run fast enough to be in the top 4.
This is why all qualifying should be based on time, and not place.
4:08 was too slow wrote:

Funny it is why I think all qualifiying should be on place and not time.:)
Ches destroyed him. Turns out a slowish 5k is a good warm up for a DMR
Cheserek pretty good. 3:52 on the anchor, didn't make it look that difficult either.
chez just destroyed yorks! ahahahahahahah, DUCKS REIGN SUPREME!
so so so sick. Cheserek must have split at least 353. It went like 27-55-then 60s all the way to the last lap. 28ish. my goodness.
That was like leader to leader. CHeserek got it behind. So maybe he split 352!!!
Right when the race started, I though tot myself, "Does he do it?" After seeing Rupp look mortal, I thought "No. But when he got right on them. It was amazing."
Wow!!!
