Do you know the massive difference in running talent between a guy who's marathon PB (while doping) is 2:46 and a guy who ran 2:06?
Hall could jog lightly beside Armstrong for the first 49 miles and then finish fresh.
Lance wins, Hall drops out 20k in.
Hall can quit, take a nap, eat dinner, change his mind and start running again and still win.
I'd actually like to see Ryan run an ultra (ok not actually watch, but see the results). Getting way too used to seeing him go out at 2:0x pace and drop out. Maybe in a 50-miler he'd actually start with a realistic pace.
who wins? more like who care?
The injured Hall would do the noble thing and assure victory for his fellow american by pacing the rest of the group so that Lance could build a big enough lead to win.
We should be asking a different question. How much would Hall win by? I would put the line at 9 miles.
Why do people like you think of threads like this? The brojos shoiuldnt even let ones like this be started.
No one.
Mr. Hall ran a 2:04:58
I disagree. If he's having physical issues running ultras is probably the worst idea. Also, I don't consider ultrarunning real racing (not trying to start a fight, just saying). If Ryan really has physical issues that would be aided by stopping competitive running then I hope he does what is best for him physically. He has had an awesome career and is really one of the bright lights in American distance running history.

Mike Rossi.
Hall can't finish a race. Lance wins.
I'd rather see who could Zumba better
