An awesome kick to finish off the race.

Virginia kind of ran like a crap...
I didn't watch this race, but from the Flotrack review it sounds similar to the finish at wisco- Knight moved hard and someone else was patient before kicking away. At Wisco Knight had no response when the Tulsa dude came flying by.
You always want to be the guy who kicks last.
Wake is so bad and that staff has been focusing on the distance area for 5 years now.
Curtin and Knight pulled away from the group together but Curtin just had more speed than Knight over the last 150m or so.

That doesn't necessarily work.
However, getting to the finish line first always works.

You must mean the men. Women pulled off a huge upset.
Yeah, why doesn't everyone just try to do that. They should also run faster than the other people and spend less time finishing the race than the other people.
Wow Miami is not good. I'm not sure they'd be competitive in d3

IDK about pics but you can watch the whole thing on espn3
Some good D3 teams would have probably placed between North Carolina and Pittsburgh.

No distance scholarships. Miami isn't exactly a distance runners paradise either with the humidity and concrete.
It's also private so unless the kid is getting significant money from the school they aren't goin there.

You are correct, there are several NE D3 liberal arts schools who could beat them.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
