How many teams will the Great Lakes Region send to Nationals this year? Is it safe to assume the top 4 (Wisco, Michigan, MSU, and IU) will all qualify? And what about the next few teams? Could Purdue, Eastern Mich, or Notre Dame squeak in there?

Could they? Yes.
Will they? Probably not.
Purdue is looking better than IU
I wouldn't sleep on IU just yet. The last few years they've tended to start slow and then they show up in a big way at B1Gs and beyond. Look at '13 Adidas where they were rolled by Wisco and Michigan only to come back two weeks later and put an end to Wisco's long B1G streak. I don't think that will happen again this year, but they should be no worse than 4th at Great Lakes.
My prediction:
Purdue surprises people and is one of the last teams in, finishing 4th or 5th in the region, with Indiana finishing in the opposite place and also qualifying. Nobody lower than them makes it out.
I agree that early on Purdue looks strong. But are they at a disadvantage not going to Wisconsin next weekend? IU, MSU, and ND are all going and could pick up the points they will need assuming Mich and Wisco go 1-2 at regionals. I could see up to 6 teams making it out of this region.

I think you have the right order. I think Wisco, Mich, MSU and IU will qualify.
Next, in order, are Purdue, E Mich and ND.
Purdue has a low stick and the rest of the team has improved. E Mich surprised people at regionals last year. They're good, but probably won't make it. If ND qualifies, I would vote for Sparks as coach of the year and immediately administer drug tests. They have a decent 1 - 2, then a bunch of 25:00 guys. They'd have to run like demons to qualify.
Interestingly, Flotrack just did their first Kolas calculator show and had E Mich as the last team out:

And 5 GL teams in nats.
I would like to see Midwest vs the Rest in a flip cup battle.
I think they'd fare pretty well. That Joe Hardy kid is a gamer. He could put down a beer.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
