Ladies, girls, women would yall quit XC if you had to race 10k? EVERY RACE
Ladies, girls, women would yall quit XC if you had to race 10k? EVERY RACE
This is Letsrun. I'm not sure there are any girls here... try asking on Pinterest!
Do any girls even post on letsrun?
do you homos know any girls you could direct here?
never mind.
Women race 10k all the time
Women race trail ultras all the time and often beat men so why would 10k XC put them off? It's not far
There are no women on LetsRun, sorry
women should be doing 8k
Last time I checked my uterus was firmly attached... so yes. Of course.
Your uterus can't just fall out. Surgeons have to dig through a lot of shit to reach it. That's one reason notorious uterus-remover Jack the Ripper was suspected to be a doctor.
duhhh is NCAA 10k for girls?
I'm a guy and would have hated to run 10K every race.
Most races were 8K.
Would have loved to have run a 5K course.
college cross country should be 6-8 K for both sexes. it would be a more interesting race with more middle distance folks.
I'm a guy and I quit cross (not track) over 8k. Race is 10x too long in my opinion.
I think women should run 8-10k though and no one should run indoor 5k. XC is for the distance runners and indoor is for mid distance.
Agreed. Distance should be 8K for both men and women. Currently too many NCAA men run the 10K race to finish instead of racing the distance. 8K would be quicker, more competitive, and both men and women can race the distance as opposed to running to finish. The density of training to race 10K well puts a lot of strain on some of our best young athletes at the university level.
And that's after 6K.
Honestly though, there would be some ladies running 32:00 or faster at the champs. That's faster than a few dozen team scorers in the men's race.
For an 8K or 10K race they wouldn't be racing at 107% of VO2 max, so could stand after a race.
The last thing we need is girls under 100 pounds running a 10k ew wwww
To be honest, probably. The furthest I'd go is an 8k.
As a woman who ran DI in the late 80's/early 90's, I absolutely would have welcomed any distance longer than 5k, whether it be 6k, 8k, or 10k. But as one poster said, I think both women and Men running 8k would be a good fit. The 5k was not long enough.
And as for the poster who said women were on Pinterest and not on LR, you obviously need to go back the sandbox you crawled out of...
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
