It's likely also a Paralympic record.

Many interesting things about Finn: MS, math wiz, excellent writer, photographer, loved coach. Two-time Canadian Marathon champ, two-time World Cross competitor. Michigan Alum. Over 20-odd years ran around 30-flat for 10K on the roads, little slowdown.
Jim was always a great guy. Funny thing is he wasn't a big drinker in college. Quiet, very well-liked guy who just shut up and did the work.
Last time I checked in on his blog, he had an astonishing story to tell - which he told very well, as always - about how at his last check in with his neurological team, they concluded that he did not, in fact, have MS. This despite having lived with an MS diagnosis for quite a few years. He never went on any meds; just altered his diet and lifestyle. Still has neurological symptoms, I think he says in the post, but apparently not MS. Weird and wonderful. And just a ridiculous new Beer Mile record. Not that far off the open standard.

That is the best news of the day.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
