Never done the whole thing, but have done some big sections over the years- from Copper Mtn. to Salida; Kenosha Pass to Georgia Pass, a few trips off of Waterton Canyon and points west(day trips)and a little bit of it down by Silverton (the Stony Pass section)Nice trail. Get a guidebook. Some dry sections, particularly just west of Waterton.. If you can hike the whole thing, self supported, you've got my respect. There are sections that are a week between grocery stores, and even then, it's a 5 mile trip off trail to a convenience store.Have fun and be safe.

Good to know. On my way to get a guidebook. Thanks!
wasn't there some sort of story about a silly feat on the colorado trail? Didn't somebody like walk the whole thing backwards or something like that? I seem to remember something along those lines being reported, but couldnt' find anything in a google search just now.
