I'm a junior going into my senior year and my last xc season was horrible. I ran an 18:16 pr.... I've been summer training and I had a really successful track season where I ran a 9:58 3200m, 4:40.8 1600m, 2:05 800m, and a 57 400m (But I've never ran a fresh 400m and it was always directly after the 3200). I've been consistently training every day since two weeks after track ended (June 9th) and I haven't missed a day yet. I do an easy paced run at around 6:30-6:45 pace and haven't gotten injured and my legs don't hurt at all. I decided to test out my 5k time on the flat roads without any competition and I ran a 16:55 before I started summer training. Would it be possible to run in the low 16 minutes? My last xc season may not show it, but i made a huge improvement over the winter and over the track season. I plan on training all summer and into xc. I've tried two conversion sites and they both told me that I can run a 16:07. Do you think that its possible that by around sectionals and states time that I could run around 16:10?
