I am an xc runner at a major conference D1 school. Over the years I have not made much improvement from my high school times. Some of that is due to injury but I believe alot of that has to do with my coaches philosophy of taking every sunday off. As far as I know we are one of the only schools to take a day off each week. Consequently we are not very good.
Will running 7 days a week make a big difference in my performances?Running 6 days a week makes it very difficult to get in the 90-100 mpw range. I am hoping that if I ignore my coaches training plan and bump my mileage up I will improve.
Any thoughts?
