Apparently locating a 13:15 pacer has been difficult but organizers are currently searching for someone to set Mo on 26:30 pace.

...but can only get him through two in 13:15.
Why doesn't he start a thread here? Even if we're not his biggest fans, some poster living nearby would always help a fellow runner out.
Mo Farah Lookong?

Brilliant response to a ridiculous troll! If the organizers are "currently looking" for a 13:15 5k runner (for this evening) then LRC is Mo's only chance!

13:00 5k runners grow on trees around here. I sell them for a dime a dozen. How many does he need?
It sounds bizarre that Nike would not have a pacer or three set up well in advance.

It sounds like he only just decided to do this
Sounds good. I have the thread ready for when he runs a fast time.
thats so stupid. Why would anyone target 26:30? What's the point? Race to win or race to break a WR. Don't race just some arbitrary number on the clock at an important meet.

The hard part is finding one who will pace to 9,200m then take a convincing dive.
First, the race needs to be NOP certified in order to make it legit if a record is broken.
Exactly, this is why I don't blv this rubbish
As Mo would say " Go hard or go home " LOL
Why doesn't he just lead it himself, like Bekele did in his records.
Because he a god damn 32 years old now , too old to lead for a world record attempt , Bekele did it in his 20's

What records did Bekele set without pacers?

Buckle ran a 26:25 at Pre in 2008. Amazing to watch. Pacers? Not many stayed with him very far along, and running a complete 2nd 5000 in about 13:12 solo is pretty amazing.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
