What is "pre-business administration"? Is that when the student learns how to turn on the computer and then turn it back off safely?

Pre-Business Administration is normally a program where a young student samples all the aspects of a business major (Marketing, Finance, Accounting, IT, etc) to determine if a Business major is really something he/she wants to spend $150K on. It is also a wonderful opportunity to find an area of business where that student finds a curriculum that holds interest and in which he/she would like to pursue in more detail. Basically, one could say that pre-Business is to a business degree what an undergrad program is to a grad program. I am sure that many of us wish we had been offered this explorative approach, rather than changing majors, and wasting time and money, two or three times in college.

Anybody, ANYBODY who doesn't get perfect scores at eugene clown kollege has some serious mental impairments. That is a school with less than zero academic pressure and expectations.

As pointed out previously, the moron rupp wasn't even able to complete 3 years of course work in his 4++ years there in a cupcake major. I see that Miss Maton is going into her senior year without having to declare a major. Is that even permitted at a real college? Pepiot is is also in a sub zero major. Are any of the runners taking real classes or completing real majors? Doubtful.

Hey there, "they quack", no need to criticize others. You said something very similar on another thread. Pretty obvious that you weren't accepted into U of O (or onto their track team) and still harbor a lot of resentment about it. Best to let things like that go and move on.

Is this really necessary? Your uncalled for comments about high performing college students would indicate you probably have some real self-esteem problems of your own.

I did a tiny bit of exploring and learned that as part of the Pac 12, the University of Oregon has some pretty rigorous research and educational standards that it has to attain. As such, Oregon is actually a rather elite U.S. University of which we should be very proud. Sure, it may not be a Harvard or an MIT, but it is a respectable, highly rated university. Your comments, frankly, are childish and inaccurate.

I'm not one to slam UO but I would not call it "elite" or "rather elite" in any way, shape, or form. UO is a solid middle of the pack state school that is a large step above community colleges and a large step below any notion of "elite."

Not true. The Ivy League are below say, most PAC-12 schools in terms of the quality of students. They are jam-packed with hasbarats in training who have the connections and financial backing to get in despite mediocre grades. The majority of students at these schools used to be excellent. Now the excellent students are by far the minority at these overrated, over-priced dung holes.

Pac-12 is an ATHLETIC conference and Oregon ranks near the BOTTOM in both academic rankings and incoming SAT scores. USnews ranks Oregon tied with Oklahoma and below such academic powerhouses as Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, and the University of Dayton, and just a little above LSU.

I have head kids at Orange Coast College in California mention that they only need a 2.5 GPA to transfer to Oregon. In other words, it's about as good as a California Junior College. I have a feeling that if Jenna Prandini had the grades to go to Stanford, Cal or USC, she would have gone there. Oregon is where California sends its losers--it has been that way for a long time.

Freakin Cal State Compton is superior academically to Cal State Eugene.

This proves that the Academic All-District award is a complete joke. Grampa Ches barely made the minimum score on his SATs. He scored about the same as somebody who writes their name at the top and leaves the rest blank. Oregon is just a terrible school. Terrible. The stupidest person to attend Princeton in the past 250 years, rojo, would have been the valedictorian at Oregon. Oregon didn't earn the 'clown college' designation for no reason.

To give you an idea about Cheserek's academic skill, he doesn't know how old he is because he can't count that high.

It is a real insult to every student at Stanford, Cal and UCLA that any district academic honor would go to any 'student' at Oregon.

I went to a real college where students could not declare a major until the end of the fourth semester.

Not true. WSU, OSU, and UO has been grandfathered into the PAC12 and each remains unranked academically given the low numbers of research citations, awards, publications, research grants, prizes, and federal laboratories. Since the days of the PAC8, ASU, UA, Utah, and CU have been admitted given sufficient academic credentials.
