I've been having a very difficult time finding comfortable trainers.
The shoe firms keep messing with shoe designs.
I'd love to see NIKE bring back the 1989-1990 Air Pegasus. The model sporting that name now in no way represents the original.
Thanks

I see a few oldsters wearing the old, OLD version of the Saucony Jazz.
These would be the ones with the very rugged nub-like tread. They aren't that pricey but they feel like an acquired taste IMHO.
?
I'm 66 and running in the Nike Pegasus 31....I agree that it is totally different than the original, but it's been working well for me. If I decide to change shoes for any reason I'm going to try the New Balance Boracay for daily training and the New Balance Zante.for speed work on a track and racing, but for now I'm staying with the Pegasus 31.
Nike Free 5.0...been wearing them pretty much since they started making them.
Skechers Go Runs, Nike Luna Racers, my last pair of Mizuno Wave Ronins, and Mizuno spikeless XC shoes for trails. I am not happy with Mizuno's new models or the latest Lunaracers. I probably am going to go with New Balance 1400s for my next trainers.
Anything light with almost no cushioning, e.g., Asics Blazing Fast (oh the irony now) some New Balance Minimus models, Mizuno Wave Universe, etc.
Sketchers go runs, after many years of 70+ mile weeks and 4x/week on the track I had so many chronic issues I couldn't run. Bought a pair of Sketchers and within a month I was training again, injury free. Truly a godsend, I have 4 pair and rotate them. Won't run in anything else at this point.
Brooks PureFlow right now. Very interested in the New Balance Vazee Pace due to hit the stores this summer.
62 years old
35-45 miles per week
Legs in almost constant pain or state of exhaustion
No ACL in right knee some arthritis
Torn ACL in left knee more arthritis
Lunar glide for most running
Pegasus when there's snow on the road
Free when my legs can take them
Would help if I could use Ibuprofen or Aspirin but I can't
Shoes feel like they are "worn out" after only 2-3 weeks

+1 61 and train exclusively in Nike Free 5.0
61, 60 miles per week injury free. easy and long runs in Adidas Glide and Nike Pegasus, Quicker runs and races in Adios Boost 2
lunaracers for TM,track & road. Fuji Racers for dirt/trails. 67 yrs and counting!
Nothing like running in the same shoe for decades: Saucony Shadow 6000!
63 and have been running in them since they came out in the mid 80's. At times, I could get them for $39 but usually $49 but now for $59. Before using this shoe, I had all sorts of foot/leg issues.
Try the Mizuno Enigma 5 when it comes out in July. It is lighter than the Pegasus and is in the neutral cushioned category. It's very responsive and is very soft!

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
