Just thought I'd share a crazy race from the OUA championships meet in Toronto this weekend. Canadian track powerhouse demonstrated some of the most controversial race tactics in recent memory, using 3 of their top guys (2 of which have run under 8:00) as lead blockers or a wall to allow one of their slower guys to win the provincial meet (pace was at about 8:30 at 2k) and book a ticket to nationals in two weeks. What I think is hilarious is a clear "dirty-bird" thrown by one of the competitors after being clearly boxed out... reminiscent of the Alaskan flip-off !!!
race footage can be seen here:

Also 3 coaches from 3 different schools protested afterward, and only the guy who finished 3rd was Dq'ed. amazing!!!! What do you guys think?? Personally, after reading about the fiasco a couple months ago with the rigged awarding of Nationals XC in Canada, Guelph clearly has a mentality about them that simply says "we are Guelph and we do not give a F***".
