I stopped going to flotrack shortly after they hired Gordan and started doing those childish comedy clips more often than they covered the real stories in the sport of running. I wasn't apposed to their website, but it certainly wasn't what i was looking for to stay informed on the running world.
However, after watching this video
http://www.flotrack.org/coverage/251964-Best-of-2014/article/29116-4-Kick-of-2014
I now believe that this website is a cancer. They have the rights to so many races, and this is the announcing they provide? This is the announcing that we are STUCK with?!
The announcer spends 10 minutes saying nothing (repeatedly) about mo farah, rather than highlighting the accolades or recent accomplishments of the field. He continues to announce over and over again that mo farah is in fact at the front of the pack.
And then, in the last 400 he uses some stupid video game joke about farahs kick, which completely ruins the moment. The guy obviously doesn't know anything about running. He should have been saying something along the lines of "this is why Farah is the best" or "this last lap is what they train for at the ODP" or ANYTHING about the race.
And to cap it all off, he naively claims that farah could be "in a 400m race right now", despite farah running 53 second / 400 pace.
Flotrack needs to either hire experts to do their announcing, or just give it up. They are dragging the sport down right now.
