I'm looking for a flat Spring marathon for my debut. Any suggestions?
I'd like a flat one since I just moved to the East Coast and there are no hills to train on out here. Decent comp would be nice too. Looking to likely go low 2:30s for my first.

I have not run it but have heard that Buffalo is flat. It is Memorial Day weekend.

Anybody run this one before? It's early Spring, but I may be able to manage it.

Great race. Very fast course, and very well managed. Most years the temps will be good - your one real risk is the wind. At the same time, even on very windy years, people still run fast.
Fargo does look intriguing (and far away), but only two guys under 2:30 and just one more under 2:40. Anyone done New Jersey?

You don't even have to really run them. It's okay to finish in 10 hours or just not finish and say you did.
You could try the Eugene Marathon. http://eugenemarathon.com/

I live in Buffalo it's a flat and fast course. Low cost, hotels are all walking distance to start and finish. Course is not boring, has been getting bigger so competition is getting better. Some $$ awards. I have ran it a few times and PR'd but then again it's my home course.
It's worth the trip, I think it's the week before Memorial weekend this year.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
